Paralegal– Medical Malpractice Defense– Bedminster, NJ     Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an experienced defense litigation Paralegal in our Bedminster office. The individual will be responsible for supporting a team of attorneys with litigation tasks from inception through trial and close.        Responsibilities:  * Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing.  * Daily time entry billing requirements.  * Obtain, review, analyze and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents and other relevant case information.  * Trial preparation – such as trial binders, exhibits and preparing witness files.  * Manage court docket calendar.  * Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties.  * Willingness to work on cases from start to finish and meet all court deadlines.  * Additional duties as assigned.     Requirements:  * 3+ years of experience, preferably in defense litigation support.  * Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.  * Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.  * Strong time management skills with the ability to meet all deadlines and prioritize workload.  * Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, legal staff, court staff, clients, expert witnesses, etc.  * Demonstrated interest in defense litigation.  * Ability to perform legal research, experience with Lexisa plus.  * Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records.  * Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting.   * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required.  * Ability to work onsite from our Bedminster, New Jersey office in a hybrid capacity   The salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 and is dependent upon various factors such as education, experience and internal equity.    Weber Gallagher is a thriving and growing firm with more than 160 legal professionals in 13 locations.
