Get to Know Your Team: UT Health East Texas is comprised of 9 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. We provide healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service. Responsibilities The Patient Logistics Coordinator Paramedic facilitates patient admissions within the Ardent Health system by conducting initial screenings based on approved clinical criteria to ensure compliance with hospital policies. Operating with moderate autonomy, they make protocol-driven decisions to support safe and efficient patient intake. The role involves rapid assessment of patient needs, sometimes in a field setting, coordination with EMS and transfer centers, and collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital departments to optimize patient movement. Additionally, the coordinator works with hospital leadership to identify systemic barriers to throughput and contributes to improving patient flow and care transitions. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Current licensed Paramedic in the State of Residence (NREMT-P). 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting. Must be proficient in EMTALA. Preferred Job Requirements: 3 years of clinical experience in ED or Critical Care.
