FOR FULL-TIME PARAMEDICS ONLY – APPLY BY 11/15/2025!* Job Summary: As a Paramedic at Medtrans, you will play a critical role in delivering care to patients in interfacility and emergency transport settings. You will assess patient conditions, administer medical interventions within your scope of practice, and ensure safe and efficient transport to appropriate medical facilities. Your expertise and professionalism will contribute directly to the high standard of care we provide to our community. Key Responsibilities: Assess patient conditions and determine appropriate medical interventions based on scope of practice. Provide compassionate, respectful care to all patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. Monitor and document vital signs, treatments provided, and patient responses. Collaborate with EMTs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals during transport to ensure continuity of care. Safely operate ambulances and maintain awareness of road and patient safety at all times. Maintain inventory of medications, equipment, and supplies; restock and clean units after calls. Complete accurate and timely patient care reports (PCRs) and communicate patient status to receiving facilities. Adhere to all Medtrans policies, EMS protocols, HIPAA guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations. Participate in ongoing training, safety drills, and quality assurance initiatives. Qualifications Qualifications: Education and Certification: High school diploma or equivalent. Current California Paramedic License. BLS, ACLS, and PALS Provider Cards (American Heart Association). Medical Examiner’s Certificate. California Ambulance Driver’s License. Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Experience: Experience in IFT, BLS, or 911 response is preferred but not required. Customer service or healthcare background is a plus. Skills: Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations. Excellent written and verbal communication. Professional demeanor and commitment to patient-centered care. Physical ability to lift and carry patients and equipment. Working Conditions: Work is performed in ambulances and at healthcare facilities; may involve indoor and outdoor settings. Exposure to weather conditions, infectious diseases, and emergency situations is expected. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
