We are looking for a Paramedic Practitioner, for our GP surgery based in Caterham, focused on minor illness and home visits, on a salaried, full-time basis — with no prescribing required:

REQUIREMENTS

• Registered Paramedic with the HCPC
• Experience managing minor illness in a primary or urgent care setting
• Confident working autonomously within scope of practice
• Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Passion for community healthcare and patient wellbeing
• Full UK driving licence (for home visits)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Paramedic Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive GP surgery team in Caterham. This is a full-time salaried position focusing on the management of minor illness and conducting home visits. The ideal candidate will be an autonomous clinician with strong assessment skills and experience in a primary care or urgent care setting.
Please note: Independent prescribing is not required for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with minor illness and acute presentations
• Perform home visits for housebound patients as required
• Provide safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team including GPs, Nurses, and HCAs
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records using EMIS Web (or other practice systems)
• Support the surgery in delivering high-quality care and improving health outcomes for the local community
