Summary : We are seeking experienced Paramedics to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care, utilizing your clinical expertise, and collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team. Job Description: SCHEDULE: Days Every other Weekend (Weekend Premium Pay) The Paramedic performs in a nursing support role with a variety of direct care functions under general supervision by licensed team members including RN, Physician, and/or APC. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Receives direction and assignments from licensed team members and provides technical support to optimize patient care Reports on the condition of the patient to the appropriate licensed team members to ensure safe, quality patient care Completes accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Reinforces patient education performed by the RN Assists with patient transport to other departments as needed based on patient condition Assists with maintaining a safe and clean environment to perform patient care Administers medications under the general supervision of the RN or Provider in accordance with the ThedaCare-approved Paramedic medication list QUALIFICATIONS Completion of Paramedic Program BLS upon hire Paramedic license for the State of WI ACLS & PALS within 6 months of hire PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance Category 1: Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties WORK ENVIORNMENT Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Occasional high noise level in work environment. Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents. Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients. Use of computers throughout work day Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist and fingers .
