Description:
CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati is looking for a Parametric Architect with a strong passion for new technologies and a curiosity to explore how computational tools can transform the architecture of tomorrow. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary and international design team, supported by experienced professionals. You will be involved in developing parametric workflows, implementing innovative solutions across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the definition of project concepts by integrating parametric and computational design methodologies.
- Develop and manage parametric/algorithmic models to ensure aesthetic, functional, and performance consistency.
- Collaborate with the design team to deliver creative and technically advanced solutions.
- Prototype and test design ideas using advanced modeling tools, custom scripts, and simulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or relevant fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in architecture or design offices (preferably international).
- Strong conceptual, graphic, and design skills, with a focus on computational workflows.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Grasshopper or other parametric scripting environments
- Coding skills (Python, C#, or other programming languages)
- Rendering abilities (V-Ray or similar tools)
