This position is set to begin on July 27thWork Scheduled for 40 Hours a Week Job Description: Paraprofessional plays a vital role in supporting the academic, behavioral, medical, and social-emotional growth of students with diverse and intensive learning needs. Working under the guidance of licensed professionals, this position provides direct instructional, behavioral, and health-related support in classroom and community settings. Pay: $23.68/per hour About CPCD: At CPCD, we provide more than 1,100 children living in poverty, or who are challenged by special circumstances, with an early childhood education through Head Start, Early Head Start, and the Universal Preschool Program. Requirements Required: • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of specialized training or an associate's degree in ECE or related field. • CDA or the Early Childhood Professional Level II credential through the State of Colorado’s Professional Development Information System (PDIS), or plan to obtain within one year of hire. • Must obtain First Aid CPR, and medication administration certification within 90 days • of employment and maintain as required. • Must be able to lift/carry/manipulate up to 40 pounds. • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test (including marijuana), and background check in accordance with the Office of Head Start Performance Standards and Childcare Licensing. (Physical examination and TB test thereafter as required). • Must have access to reliable transportation and if using a personal vehicle must maintain minimum liability insurance as determined by the State of Colorado.
