Paraprofessional - Springfield, IL Hourly Rate: $17.15- $18.80 Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm WHO WE ARE Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. WHAT YOU WILL BRING * 19 years of age or older. * High School Diploma or equivalent education. * Hold or attain a Paraprofessional licensure for Illinois. * Valid Illinois Driver’s license. * Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening. * Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds. * Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run. WHAT YOU WILL DO * Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry. * Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives. * Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs. * Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students. WHAT WE PREFER * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field. * Experience working with people with developmental disabilities. * Classroom setting experience.
