Paraprofessional – St. Louis, MO Hourly Rate: $18-$19 Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:30pm WHO WE ARE Hope is a clinical, educational, and therapeutic provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. WHAT YOU WILL BRING * High School Diploma or equivalent education. * 60 hours college credits OR Passed the ParaPro assessment before 9/23 through Pearson 9/23 – 6/20/24; though ETS 7/1/24 – 6/30/26; after 7/1/26 – Parapathways assessment through ET OR 20 HR substitute certificate course * Valid Missouri Driver’s license. * Successful background clearance, physical, agility test, and drug/alcohol screening. * Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 pounds. * Ability to stand, walk, grasp, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, and run. WHAT YOU WILL DO * Support students in a classroom setting at the Hope Learning Academy and complete appropriate data tracking and entry. * Provide instruction and assistance that meets students’ Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals and objectives. * Encourage student independence while following the classroom schedule and implementing educational programs. * Foster a stimulating, accepting, and safe learning environment for all students. WHAT WE PREFER * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an education or human services related field. * Experience working with people with developmental disabilities. * Classroom setting experience.
