Due to increased volumes, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Parcel Sorter to join our Hastings team. About the role - Mō te tūranga You will be responsible in assisting with the safe handling of freight, achieve target delivery goals, and strive to provide an on time, damage-free service. Additional key duties below: Load and unload all freight safely and securely Achieve branch operational objectives by using On-time to scan freight efficiently Ensure documentation accompanying freight is complete Ensure all equipment is operated in a safe and proficient manner Action bay labels, re-stacking of damaged freight, protecting leaking product Maintain good working relationships Communicate effectively within a team environment What will you bring? – Ōu Pūkenga? To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit, have excellent team coordination skills, and have some experience working with freight. Additionally, you will need: Prior work experience in the freight industry A strong health and safety focus OSH approved forklift certificate F endorsed licence (preferred but not essential) Prior long fork experience (preferred but not essential) An understanding of dangerous goods laws (preferred but not essential) Your Benefits - Ō Painga A place where we put our people first with priority to promote from within.
