POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Supervisor and the general direction of the Leadhand – (Curator) Botanical Conservatory, participates in the display, maintenance and growing of plant materials within the Botanical Conservatory and parks, and carries out building maintenance. MAJOR TASKS: Prepares seasonal and permanent displays within the Botanical Conservatory and the community. Guides various groups touring the Botanical Conservatory. Carries out all growing aspects of plants i.e. potting, cultivating, soil preparation, pest control, etc. Carries out building maintenance at the Botanical Conservatory. Maintains the grounds at the Botanical Conservatory and throughout the general parks system. Maintains consistent and required temperatures in each greenhouse and display area. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned. Responsibilities
The Park Worker participates in the display, maintenance, and growing of plant materials within the Botanical Conservatory and parks, while also carrying out necessary building maintenance tasks.
