Description Provide service excellence to our prospects and customers by accurately and efficiently fulfilling their needs. Responds to customer requests for price & availability, product information, technical support and expedites. Assist in the warehouse, working cross functionally between Parker store and Wilson warehouse teams. Duties/Responsibilities: Service walk-in customers Solve application problems for counter customers Process walk-in customer orders Manage all inventory Handle cash & credit Promote and sell products to increase sales and profits Cross over competitive products Purchase parts for rush orders and expedite items for customers Process customer returns Trouble shoot and resolve order processing issues Load customer part number cross-references & specific pricing information Utilize printed and on-line vendor information resources Keep product and reference information up to date Provide literature to customers Willing to assist and work between Parker store & warehouse Support warehouse team in ad hoc tasks Assemble hosing & hose kits Other tasks as required by the Branch Manager Requirements Require Skills/Abilities: Ability to understand and assist industrial client base Have a courteous manner and a positive attitude Be able to work well with face-to-face customer base Ability to understand and assemble various hosing kits Be a good listener: clarify and confirm for understanding Work well in a fast-paced team environment Be detail oriented and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy Enjoy working with technical product applications Be able to build and maintain long term relationships Ability to work in office and warehouse environment Good communication, problem solving skills & mechanical aptitude Good working knowledge and ability to learn various computer programs Strong computer & typing skills Bilingual a plus Education and Experience: Four-year or technical schooling preferred Experience with industrial sales or retail Experience with using and/or selling fluid power products preferred Physical Requirements: Be able to lift up to 70 pounds May be required to stand for long periods of time May involve some repetitive motions May engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.
