POSITION SUMMARY: The Parking Lot Attendant is stationed in the parking lot while on duty. This role communicates with the Operations Support team to guide and direct vehicle traffic. This position also performs various Customer Service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, providing information and direction to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers Greets all customers as they walk or drive by associate in a friendly and outgoing manner Stays in contact and communicates with Operations Support via radio to understand traffic flow on campus. Provides directions to different facilities on Campus. Provides information including but not limited to museum pricing, the retail store’s advertised sales and special events. Keeps work area clean. Follows all Company Policies and Procedures. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: High School education or equivalent experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY Simple math skills Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other Associates Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to works in many different weather conditions. Position is an outside job, stationed in our parking lot. Bass Pro shops ball cap and rain gear will be provided when needed. Constantly stand and/or walk during shift Constantly repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Occasionally communicate with others to exchange information Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Constantly be exposed to environmental conditions such as extreme low or high temperatures Constantly be exposed to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind. Constantly work in noisy environments Occasionally work in hazardous conditions Light work that includes constantly lifting and moving objects up to 20 pounds, occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed) Able to lift up to 50 pounds; Able to stand for extended periods INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making.
