  Parks and Recreation Coordinator  Job Posting The Town of Orono is searching for an energetic and people-focused professional to become our next Parks and Recreation Coordinator. This position works closely with our Parks and Recreation Director to provide seasonal opportunities for residents. From sports practices, to community events, our department has something new and exciting to offer each season!  During the summer months this position will assist in operating the Orono Municipal Pool, one of the community’s favorite gathering places.  We’re seeking a motivated, organized, and enthusiastic individual who thrives in an active environment. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or experience in recreation, event coordination, or a similar area is preferred. This is a full time 40 hour a week position with adjusted schedules based on seasonal needs. The application period will open on March 2nd, application review will start on March 16th until the best candidate is selected.  The Town offers a competitive pay and benefits package including paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance, and participation in the Maine Public Employees Retirement System.
