Job Title: Laundry Assistant Weekly Hours: PT, 11 hrs./wk. based on office needs Supervised by: Director of Operations Location: Pelham Road Position Overview: Manages cleaning, folding, and stocking all Parkside OB-GYN linen in order to help support day-to-day practice operations. Responsible for reporting laundry inventory levels to Director of Operations to ensure adequate inventory is available. Responsibilities: Sorting, washing, drying, folding, and stocking linen. Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures Keeping an updated list of inventory and laundry supplies. Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment. Skills & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Thorough knowledge of washing products, types of fabric and the proper procedures for each type of material Outstanding organizational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Environmental/Working Conditions: Ability to work in an environment with exposure to potentially dangerous/infectious materials and situations that require following extensive safety may be requires and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate. Physical Demands: Ability to perform moderate physical activity. Will require handling/lifting objects (up to 50 lbs) or standing/sitting/walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
