The Gourmet Warehouse is looking for an experienced cashier! The Gourmet Warehouse is a unique specialty food and housewares emporium, appealing to professionals and home cooks alike. We have been in business since 1998 and currently boast over 19,000 square feet of specialty ingredients and an inclusive range of cookware essentials; from spatulas to tagines. We have everything needed to outfit and enhance the kitchen and beyond. This position requires cash desk EXPERIENCE. Shifts may include weekends and statutory holidays. Our cashiers are dedicated to providing excellent customer service along with the following requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE:

· High School graduate
· Prior cash desk experience is required
· Superb customer service skills with a desire to provide a great shopping experience for customers
· Must be able to work well and communicate effectively and positively with customers and Team Members
· Ability to perform basic math
· Attention to detail
· Reliability and punctuality
· Ability to take own initiative and work under own direction taking accountability and responsibility for actions
· Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor under stressful situations
· Open availability for flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
