Description Position Overview Part Production Operators set-up, operate, load, and maintain machinery. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained. Primary Functions and Responsibilities Inventory control of parts and material Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications (assigned machines may include lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment) Produces the required quantity of parts within the specifications and tolerances Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance of function, quality, and cosmetic specifications Maintains logs and records of units produced including records of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment, performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance Follow 5S housekeeping standards Performs other duties as assigned Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations The ability to read and understand customer drawings. Fork truck operations Minimum Qualifications Ability to follow directions and work well in a team Strong analytic problem solving skills and basic math skills Work Environment Warehouse environment (non-temperature-controlled environment) Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs on a regular basis Ability to stand for 8+ hours
