JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an excellent opening for a part qualified Accountant to join our team at our Grimsby office.
This is a full time role which offers flexibility, a great work life balance, great job satisfaction and the opportunity to become part of the team.
This position will also fund study support for ACA or ACCA if you are a part-qualified applicant wishing to pursue these higher qualifications.

A typical working day could include:

  • Ownership and management of a portfolio of clients, predominantly owner managed businesses.
  • Client facing role – being the main point of contact for these clients to resolve queries and assist with accounting matters.
  • Accounts preparation for clients – planning, reviewing and finalisation. Working knowledge of FRS102 1A and FRS105, desirable.
  • Ad hoc bookkeeping including overview of VAT returns / payroll / management accounts / advising on cloud accounting systems such as Xero.
  • Corporation tax and personal tax compliance and planning services and review of these returns / computations
  • Assisting in the training / support of trainees
  • Supporting the partners with more technical tasks

To be successful, you must be AAT level 4 qualified with experience at a minimum. You should be working towards your ACA or ACCA qualification or be fully qualified. You must also possess the following skills:

  • Proven track record in a practice environment
  • Able to work unaided to strict deadlines
  • Apply theory and practice and reach logical conclusions
  • Build constructive relationships with other team members
  • Accept instruction from senior personnel
