Job Title: Part-Qualified Accountant
Location: Dundalk
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: Financial Controller

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join our finance team in a hands-on role, supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounts department. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in a dynamic and evolving business. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial management, supplier accounts, VAT returns, and reconciliations while working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualifications: ATI qualification or part-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in an accounting practice is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Process and post supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs.
  • Perform monthly supplier account reconciliations.
  • Post daily bank transactions and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and submit NI and ROI VAT returns.
  • Complete and submit Intrastat and VIES returns.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records in compliance with company policies.
