QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar accounting or finance role (essential)
  • Actively pursuing a professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA
  • Experience working in an SME environment or food/FMCG sector (desirable)

KEY SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong communication skills with fluent spoken and written English
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of working with financial data
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow within the role
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Part-Qualified Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and gain valuable hands-on experience across all key aspects of our finance operations. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting day-to-day financial functions, all while learning and growing within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This role is ideal for someone who is actively studying for a professional qualification and eager to advance their accounting career in a supportive setting that offers real responsibility and career development potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process sales invoices and manage EDI billing with major retail partners
  • Reconcile customer accounts and follow up on outstanding queries
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with agreed customer credit terms
  • Process supplier invoices and reconcile statements
  • Post and allocate payments, receipts, and monthly journals
  • Assist with the preparation of regular sales, purchasing, and supplier reports
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller on month-end processes and ad-hoc duties
