Description

A well-established and growing accountancy firm in County Cork is seeking a Part-Qualified or Newly Qualified Accountant to join its expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual looking to gain hands-on experience across management accounts, internal controls, and financial operations, while receiving guidance from experienced professionals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Recently qualified or part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CPA / CIMA
  • 1–2 years’ experience in practice or an industry-based finance team
  • Strong technical skills in accounts preparation and reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills for client interaction
  • Proficient in Excel and familiar with accounting software
  • An understanding of the retail sector would be a plus, but not essential
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Support with analysing gross margins and identifying areas for improvement
  • Help implement and monitor internal financial controls
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and working capital analysis
  • Liaise with clients to collect information and clarify financial queries
  • Prepare reconciliations, VAT returns, and support payroll tasks when required
  • Collaborate with senior staff on various accounting assignments
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and process improvements
