Description Position Overview The Part-Time Accounting Assistant supports the Club’s accounting and finance operations by performing a variety of administrative and clerical accounting duties. This role helps ensure accurate financial reporting, timely processing of member transactions, and efficient day-to-day financial operations while maintaining the high level of service expected in a private, member-owned club environment. This position reports to the Controller and works closely with the accounting team and department managers. Part-time, approximately 25 – 30 hours per week. Flexible weekday schedule with occasional additional hours during month-end or year-end processes. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Assist with member billing, payments, and account inquiries Post daily cash receipts and prepare bank deposits Review and post daily sales Calculate and update daily sales, tips, commissions, and service charges across all food and beverage areas Member Accounting Support monthly member statement preparation Maintain accurate member account records Provide courteous and confidential support for member account questions General Accounting Support Support month-end closing procedures Maintain organized financial files and documentation Assist with annual audit preparation Administrative Support Perform data entry with high accuracy Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and member information Support special accounting projects as needed Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (preferred) Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Experience in hospitality, nonprofit, or private club environments is a plus Work Environment (Template options below) Edina Country Club is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the role.
