POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk reports to the Finance Manager or designate and is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes preparing A/R customer invoices, performing bank deposits, processing and monitoring payments, controlling expenses by receiving, matching, verifying, and reconciling invoices and statements in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare A/R customer invoices, statements, collect receivables
  • Bank duties, including bank deposits
  • Post visa transactions, invoices, receipts and cheque requisitions
  • Compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Verify, match supporting documents and ensure receiving approval
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies if any
  • Prepare vendor cheques for mailing
  • Record all revenues/expenses and allocate them to correct programs
