About the role We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on CPA to support and elevate our finance function in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a build-and-improve environment, bringing structure to accounting processes, strengthening audit readiness, and driving visibility into revenue cycle performance. You will play a critical role in connecting accounting, audit, and RCM, ensuring our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and scalable. What you'll do Accounting & Financial Operations Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support. Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific financial requirements. Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting. Reconcile revenue streams and ensure alignment between billing systems and financial records. Audit & Assurance Prepare documentation and schedules to support internal and external audits. Strengthen internal controls and ensure audit readiness across financial processes. Identify and address gaps in financial reporting, documentation, and compliance. Compliance & Process Improvement Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory and financial compliance standards. Document and improve accounting workflows, policies, and SOPs. Qualifications Active or inactive CPA license required. 4–8+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of audit/assurance and operational accounting. Experience working with multi-entity healthcare providers (e.g., clinics, telehealth, MSOs, or similar) strongly preferred. Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), including billing, collections, and reimbursement processes. Experience supporting or leading audit preparation and working with external auditors. Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks), Excel/Google Sheets, and AI assisted workflows (Claude/Gemini). High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
