Description

Our client is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant to support the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and contributing to the smooth operation of the organisation’s financial processes.

Responsibilities

This position will involve, but will not be limited to:

  • Lead month-end close activities, ensuring timely posting of accruals and prepayments and producing accurate financial results.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accounts are fully supported and audit-ready.
  • Manage the purchase order approval process, working with budget holders to ensure accurate coding and financial control.
  • Support sales ledger accuracy and credit control, assisting in debt collection, aged debt reporting, and account follow-ups.
  • Provide accurate financial data for board reporting, including variance analysis and key metrics to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and wider business, actively contributing to team outcomes and promoting company values.
