SUMMARY

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant (Part Time) to join our dedicated and friendly team in Steeple Morden SG8 0NZ. As our Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our small team in a range of accounting tasks. You’ll have a flexible, helpful and proactive attitude. Hours to be discussed but this role requires someone who can work in the afternoons ( ideally 4 afternoons per week)

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day to day financial processes and transactions
  • Able to prepare monthly management accounts
  • Posting purchase invoices using Dext and Xero.
  • Reconciliation of accounts and able to resolve discrepancies.
  • Process sales invoices
  • Handle customer/supplier/internal accounts queries by phone and email.
  • General admin duties within the Accounts Dept, including supporting credit control
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role ( ideally AAT Level 3 or similar)
  • Solid accounting knowledge
  • Must be proficient in the use of Xero.
  • Methodical and able to multi task
  • Excellent attention to detail and great organizational skills. Able to prioritise, work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • High level of spoken and written English
