Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team. Working directly for our Accounting Manager, the accounts assistant will help to maintain the smooth running of the office and accounts department. Duties will include but are not limited:

  • Processing sales invoices and sending to customers for payment.
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct, cross-checking records to ensure accuracy.
  • Answering any queries related to accounts and finances from clients, suppliers, colleagues or other stakeholders.
  • Managing petty cash transactions, by tracking the cash used for smaller business expenses.
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt.
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits, making sure the balances in the accounts match the records.
  • Answering telephone calls and assisting customers to the best of their ability
  • Processing card payments over the phone
  • Passionate for numbers, accuracy and skill in calculating
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficient in excel and word
  • Xero experience would be preferred but training can be provided.
  • Be able to work to deadlines

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
