Description
Part-Time Accounts & Finance Manager (3 days per week)📍 Hybrid Working | Flexible scheduling | Cork HQ Hands-on finance. All of it. On your terms. Climeaction is an award-winning, B Corp certified climate action company with offices in Cork, Kilkenny and Boston. We're looking for someone to own our finances end-to-end — from processing invoices and managing payroll to producing management accounts and supporting strategic decisions. No hand-offs, no silos. Just one capable person who's comfortable across the full spectrum of finance and accounting. This is a genuine 3-day-per-week role, remote-first, and built around flexibility. If you're an experienced finance professional who wants meaningful, senior-level work without the full-time commitment — whether you're managing family life, easing toward retirement, or simply prefer to work that way — we'd like to hear from you. What you'll do Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations Manage payroll, VAT returns, and statutory compliance Produce monthly management accounts and cash flow reports Lead budgeting, forecasting and annual financial planning Liaise with external accountants, auditors and investor partners Support the CEO with financial analysis, commercial decisions and reporting across our Irish, US and Brazilian entities What we're looking for 3+ years of broad, hands-on experience in an accounting or finance role Comfortable working at every level — from the most routine tasks to the most strategic Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks or similar) Able to work independently and manage your own time across a three-day week Familiarity with multi-currency or multi-entity accounting is an advantage A formal qualification is welcome but not essential — demonstrated experience is what counts. What we offer A genuine 3-day week, respected and protected Hybrid option with occasional visits to Cork HQ Competitive pro-rata salary Flexible scheduling — we care about outcomes, not hours A small, senior team where your contribution is visible and valued Work with purpose, at a company serious about climate action We are committed to building an inclusive team and actively welcome applicants of all backgrounds, abilities, orientations, faiths and identities. We are not engaging recruitment agencies for this role. Thank you.
