Job Details Job Location: Health Center - Franklin, IN 46131 Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is looking to add to our Activities Team. Compass Park is a vast 320-acre community in the heart of Johnson County adjacent to Indianapolis. It is a vibrant community through all seasons and a place of beauty, rich in tall trees and winding footpaths. This job is in Franklin, IN. Activities Assistant Responsibilities: Plan, assist, and execute Outings, Special Events, and Programs. Attends all required Facility in-services and maintains compliance with OSHA, ISDH, and various other federal and state regulatory agencies. Maintain records of all residents’ participation whether it be group activity, self-initiated, or 1:1 visit. Do weekly 1:1 visits as assigned and report to Activities Director. Inform Activities Director of supplies needed for activities, personal supplies for resident’s self-initiated activities, and purchase supplies needed for special activities as requested by Activities Director. Conduct Activities on the calendar in a timely fashion and let Activities Director know of any changes immediately. Comply with other duties assigned in a timely fashion given by Activities Director. Understand, comply with, and promote all rules and regulations regarding residents’ rights; promote positive relationships with residents and visitors, to include presenting a professional appearance. Deliver mail, flyers, and newspapers daily. Invite and encourage residents to participate in group activities daily, but respect wishes of residents that choose not to participate. Activities Assistant Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Moderate reading and writing, proficient interpersonal relations, and communicative skills. Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office are preferred. Background with activities in a long-term care facility is a plus but not required. Responsibilities
