The Department of Chemistry (https://www.chemistry.wvu.edu/) at West Virginia University invites applications for Part-time Adjunct Teaching Positions. Areas of need include, but may not be limited to, classroom and laboratory courses in Preparative Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in-person or online courses in the Department of Chemistry’s undergraduate and graduate programs. Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis. These positions require a master’s or doctoral degree in Chemistry or a related discipline (including but not limited to Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Physics), along with evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level. Generally, individuals with a doctoral degree are eligible to teach graduate or undergraduate courses; individuals with a master’s degree are eligible to teach undergraduate courses.
