Description About Us Excel Underground is a Wisconsin-based public and private utility locating company dedicated to safety, accuracy, and dependable service. We support contractors, municipalities, and energy partners in protecting underground infrastructure. Role Overview We're looking for a detail-oriented team member to assist with print ticket preparation for a local energy contractor. Print tickets are mapping documents that identify approximate locations of underground utilities prior to excavation. This role may grow into a broader Operations Assistant position for the right candidate. Work Location This position is primarily remote (~90%), with occasional in-person check-ins near Omro, WI (~10%). Candidates must be based in Wisconsin and able to meet in person on short notice when needed. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and complete print tickets accurately and on time Review utility maps and supporting documentation for completeness Maintain organized digital records and file systems Communicate with team members on ticket status and updates Assist with administrative tasks as workload allows Support additional operational tasks as the role evolves Qualifications Must be based in Wisconsin, within reasonable distance of Omro, WI Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable working with computers, email, and digital mapping documents Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines Reliable and consistent work habits Utility, construction, or administrative experience is a plus — not required Preferred Qualifications Not required, but candidates with the following will stand out: Associate's degree in business management, or currently working toward a business-related degree Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite — particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with digital mapping tools or GIS software Prior experience in a deadline-driven administrative or office support role Background in construction, utility, or infrastructure industries Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience maintaining digital filing systems or document databases This is a part-time position working up to 20 hours per week. This role is benefits ineligible.
Responsibilities
