They may handle general clerical tasks such as answering phones, organizing data, shipping/receiving and ordering supplies. They may also coordinate and run events, draft, and justify budgets, manage calendars, schedule travel, and provide support to other departments. They may meet with clients who visit the company and support upper management with expected visits.
