ABOUT VOLLEYBOX SPORTS CENTRE

Volleybox Sports Centre is a vibrant hub for youth volleyball, offering high-quality programming and a welcoming community atmosphere. As our centre continues to grow, we’re seeking a personable, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Assistant Administrator to support our front desk operations and help ensure our programs run smoothly behind the scenes.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially in customer-facing situations
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar), Excel, and Airtable
  • Organized and adaptable with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced sports environment
  • Familiarity with Squarespace, email tools (ex. Gmail, Make.com, ConvertKit), and/or scheduling platforms is a bonus
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Enthusiasm for youth sports and community-based programming
Responsibilities
  • Greet athletes and parents and create a positive front-desk experience
  • Answer emails and phone calls in a professional and timely manner
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve minor issues with clarity and warmth
  • Process refunds and handle basic registration tasks
  • Assist with scheduling part-time staff and managing shift availability
  • Support coaches with small administrative tasks related to program execution
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, Airtable databases, and program checklists
  • Upload and format content via Squarespace or other digital tools
  • Help prepare weekly rosters, sign-in sheets, and simple internal documents
  • Maintain facility organization, supplies, and front-desk cleanliness
  • Take initiative in identifying small operational improvements
