JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented candidate with full-cycle bookkeeping experience to join our team. This part-time role offers the opportunity for increased hours and potential to transition into a full-time position in the future. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth accounting operations.
Location: Lowbed trucking Company in Abbotsford, BC
Position: Part-time (5 days a week/ 4 hours a day) approx.
Wage: Starting $28.00 with wage increases
In Person Position
Key Responsibilities: (1) assist with accounts receivable managing customer billing, ensuring updated and accurate customer records (2) maintain files for backup paperwork and supporting documents ensuring compliance with organizational standards (3) timely payment management to avoid penalties.
Gradually assist with the following: (1) assist with accounts payable ensuring timely and accurate posting of vendor invoices and processing of payments (2) reconcile credit card and bank statements (3) manage Quickbooks Desktop for daily bookkeeping tasks (4) assist with WCB, GST, payroll and ROE’s (5) process cheque runs and electronic payments (6) issue and verify bi-weekly payroll (7) update employee payroll information and health/welfare accounts.
Qualifications: (1) proven experience with Quickbooks Desktop (required) (2)strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office/Office 365 as well as Google Doc/sheets/drive (3)excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen eye for detail (4) ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines (5) strong work ethic, integrity and discretion with sensitive information (6) able to work independently with minimal supervision (7) excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) in English (8) positive attitude and proactive approach to tasks.
