Squires Loft Nunawading is looking for a Part Time Assisant Manager to work in partnership with the General Manager & Management Team.
We are a Steakhouse that has been in business for 13+ years and will be for many more.
We expect a high level of service, initiative, customer interaction and the ability to have fun. If you have these skills, we would like to hear from you! Our customers are very easy going, plenty of regulars & happy faces which makes the place enjoyable to be a part and problem customers an absolute rarity.
We offer a great approach to work/life balance and do not make anyone work all weekend. All allowances are paid, all overtime is paid & we also close Public Holidays - the dream!
Hours - Anywhere from 20-30hrs is available, even more if you would like. We are flexible in the rostering to accommodate your requirements.

All applicants must have proven prior management experience within the industry as per below:

  • Prior management experience or a senior floor staff position. A minimum of 6 months experience is required.
  • Wine knowledge provides a clear/sizeable advantage to applicant as we have approx. 60 wines on our list currently.
  • Cocktail knowledge will again provide an edge to the application however not essential.
  • Completed and have a current RSA certificate.
  • Available for weekend work - don’t worry we won’t make you work all weekend.

The core management tasks will include:

  • Occasional rostering. (Team of 10-12).
  • Stock ordering (fortnightly usually, very easy).
  • Training of new staff as required.
  • Ensuring customer enjoyment and fun!
  • Overall is managing shifts, smooth services and keeping the venue neat and tidy.

Tasks you will not need to undertake as they are performed by the General Manager (unless of course you’re interested in progression):

  • COGS / Menu updating.
  • Wine & product sourcing/procurement.
  • HR / Payroll.
