Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience mixing live sound using a digital console. Experience with Midas M32/Behringer X32 used at FPCHHI is a plus.
  • Able to carry 40 pounds and deploy and store audio cables, microphones and other audio equipment.
  • Organized and able to manage time and multiple projects effectively.
  • Committed to improvement, seeks and receives constructive criticism, understands strengths and weaknesses.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 5 – 8 per week

Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary soundboard operator for worship services, mixing and managing sound to ensure optimal levels in room and on recording/livestream. Duties are shared with volunteer team and Audio/Video/Lighting Coordinator.
  • Arrive prior to the scheduled event/activity time and begin review of service schedule and other information related to the service or special event.
  • Set up and install equipment such as microphones, speakers, video screening, projectors, video/audio monitors, recording equipment, mixing board, wires, cables etc.
  • Check and replace batteries as needed in wireless microphones and other equipment.
  • Operate lighting systems by selecting preset scenes.
  • Coordinate and communicate with other Staff and Worship Team members to produce the service/special event as planned, and to understand translation and video cues to minimize distractions during the worship service.
  • Attend CrossRoads Worship band rehearsal to configure/test sound
  • Attend Staff and Worship Team meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues and media system problems.
  • Power down/secure equipment at the end of practices and services.
  • Assist other ministries with their audio and video needs.
  • Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
