Description

Edinburgh Badminton Academy is one of the UK’s leading badminton clubs with over 900 members, 4 full time and 50 part time coaches.
We are looking for an enthusiastic part time badminton coach to join our team. As a coach, you will be responsible for assisting lead coaches at our sessions. As you progress, you may start leading sessions and taking on more responsibility. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is open to learning and keen to help players of all ages and levels improve their game.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Helping conduct on-court coaching sessions for players of all levels and ages
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with players, parents, and coaches

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in playing badminton
  • Good organizational and timekeeping skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends

Desirable:

  • Experience with sports coaching
  • Experience working with children
  • Badminton coaching qualification

On court coaching hours will largely be evenings and weekends. We have flexibility to work the hours that suit you and have availability for anything from 3 to 9 hours per week. After 6-8 months+ of experienced is gained, there is potential for up to 15 hours per week, if we think you are highly suitabile for the role.
