KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Serving drinks and handling payments efficiently and professionally
  • Keeping the bar area clean, stocked, and well-presented
  • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for members and guests

THE ROLE: BAR MANAGER

Hours: ~35 hours/week (flexible, including evenings & weekends)
Pay: Competitive salary (based on experience)
Reports to: Chair of the Social Club Committee

You’ll be responsible for day-to-day bar operations, supervising staff, and ensuring a welcoming, high-quality experience for members and guests. This includes:

  • Overseeing bar openings/closures and ensuring smooth service
  • Leading and supporting bar staff, including training, rotas, and daily briefings
  • Ensuring excellent front-of-house standards and cleanliness
  • Managing stock control, deliveries, pricing, and wastage records
  • Monitoring health & safety, hygiene, and licensing compliance
  • Supporting events, promotions, and social functions
  • Liaising with the Club Chair and attending Social Committee meetings
  • Contributing to the Club’s wider development and member engagement
