Graduate by Hilton Bloomington 210 E Kirkwood Ave, Bloomington, Indiana 47408 Graduate by Hilton Bloomington is seeking a Barista to join Poindexter Coffee to support daily café operations and deliver a consistent, welcoming experience for our guests. Compensation: Barista shifts: $10.50/hour + pooled tips Banquet serving shifts (as assigned): $16.00/hour Job Duties & Responsibilities * Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs * Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu * Sells coffees and coffee by explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipment operates * Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks * Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar * Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations * Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar * Other duties assigned * Assist Banquets & Catering as a banquet server when necessary. * Bus and set tables, including condiments as needed * Prepare room for events: set tablecloths, dishes, silverware as needed * Assist in cleaning and organizing at the completion of an event * Serve guests food and drinks during event as required * Follow directions as detailed from Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager * Other duties assigned Education & Experience * High School Diploma/GED * Prior Barista and/or Food Service experience preferred but not required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities * Ability to work flexible hours and shifts * Ability to multi-task  * Ability to create welcoming customer service environment * Effective communication skills * Time management skills * Team player   Benefits & Perks * Work today, get paid today, with Daily Pay! * Free telemedicine and virtual mental health care access for all team members starting day one! * Multiple health insurance and life insurance options * 401k plan + company match * Paid time off for eligible team members * Holiday pay/paid holidays * Pet insurance options * Employee Assistance Program * Hilton Go program/Discounted hotel rooms *The hiring process may consist of a phone interview, manager(s) interview, background check, reference checks, and potential employment assessment.
