Description Responsible for serving all products with friendly and efficient service through individualized attention to each customer while maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. Requirements Prepares and serves quality hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso drinks, tea, blended drinks, etc.) Prepares breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches Takes customer orders and communicates them to other employees for preparation Serves prepared foods Describes menu items, product details, and preparation descriptions to customers and suggests products that may interest them Develops understanding of coffee and tea (different regions, various differences in flavor and blend, etc.) Delivers distinguished and efficient service to all customers, while responding to customer needs Keeps service and seating areas clean, stocks service stations with paper products,beverage preparation items and restocks the sandwich station Keeps retail areas neat and clean Maintains composed demeanor during times of high volume to keep the store operating to standards of quality, service and efficiency Follows policies on cash handling and POS use Takes direction from managers and assists where needed Maintains regular and reliable attendance Reports to work in proper uniform Follows processes and procedures recorded in Black Cap’s Employee Handbook Must be able to lift up to 50 lb Must be able to perform all cleaning tasks, dishes, mopping, taking out garbage and compost Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of the shift, up to 6 to 8 hours Must be able to work one weekend day
