  The AC Hotel by Marriott Newtown Square is looking for an engaging and experienced Part Time Bartender to provide professional attentive and friendly service to our bar patrons. You must have good knowledge of different types of beer, wine, and liquor, and know how to mix a variety of specialty beverages. We expect our bartenders to engage with our customers while always being aware of how much people are drinking and looking for signs that someone has had too much to drink.  Bartender Duties and Responsibilities * Take beverage orders from customers and serve drinks as requested * Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits * Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers. * Monitor all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels * Assist in ensuring patrons have a safe ride home, calling a taxi or Uber when appropriate * Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting professionally with patrons * Keep bar area clean, safe and organized * Maintain a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories * Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory * Prepare Food items * Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks You will also be responsible for balancing the cash register, taking inventory of stock, and replenishing and inform management of ordering needs. Demonstrate strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and method of preparation. Demonstrate knowledge of standard menu items and food and drink safety protocols. Prepare and serve food and beverage orders, while providing excellent customer service. Comply with all safety and sanitation ordinances. Market, sell, and serve all menu items. Complete side work to include stocking, wiping down counters and tables, etc... Respond to the needs and requests of the guests. Keep work areas clean and organized. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross-training. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
