Alternative Wellness Services (AWS) is seeking a Part-Time Billing Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll focus exclusively on billing and client account management. You’ll ensure claims are processed efficiently, balances are monitored, and clients receive clear and compassionate communication about their accounts. What You’ll Do Prepare and submit claims for behavioral health services accurately and in a timely manner Review and correct claim rejections or denials, following up as needed to ensure resolution Post payments, track balances, and reconcile patient accounts Communicate with insurance payors to verify benefits, resolve discrepancies, and update account information Contact clients regarding account balances and payment status in a professional, supportive manner Collect payments, establish and maintain payment plans, and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CPT codes, insurance requirements, and behavioral health billing regulations Support the billing team with reporting, process improvements, and other administrative tasks as needed Why Join AWS At Alternative Wellness Services, we’re committed to expanding access to behavioral health care—and we know that accurate billing and transparent communication are key to that mission.
