POSITION: BOOKKEEPER

Albion Marine Solutions provides project management, engineering, consultancy, and conversion services to the maritime and offshore industries worldwide.
Reporting: Report to the Sr. Accountant
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related field
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
• Familiarity with QuickBooks is required.
• Strong Excel and data entry skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Knowledge of Canadian and international bookkeeping/tax practices is an asset

• Record day-to-day financial transactions (AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations)
• Maintain the general ledger and the trial balance
• Prepare and file GST/HST, PST, and other tax returns
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts
• Assist with financial reports, budgets, and cash flow tracking
• Coordinate with internal accountants and external service providers (Canada and overseas)
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Assist with audits and financial reviews as needed
