QUALIFICATIONS

  • Accounting certification or diploma is required.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as a bookkeeper.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Sage 50 or Sage Online required.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles, including CRA regulations and government reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaborative teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are key for client interactions.
  • Reliable transportation to join our Langley, BC team.
Responsibilities
  • Direct Bookkeeping Oversight: Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for the company.
  • Monthly Financial Close: Prepare and review financial statements each month to ensure accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and support timely CRA reporting.
  • Accounts Management: Handle accounts payable/receivable transactions while performing bank reconciliations and managing payroll.
  • Tax Preparation Support: Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of tax documents as required.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate accounting records and databases in Sage software.
  • Process Improvement: Partner with management to analyze, streamline, and optimize workflows.
