Employment Type: Part-time 20 hours/week daytime with eventual adjustment after evaluating workload

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
  • Diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in accounting software ([e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero])
  • Bilingual advanced (french and english)
  • Valid drivers license
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage 50
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and submit payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Process invoices, receipts, and payments efficiently
  • Assist with monthly financial reporting and budgeting
  • File GST/HST and other government remittances
  • Support year-end accounting processes and liaise with external accountants
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and industry regulations
