The Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites by Hilton Ottawa Downtown, conveniently situated in downtown Ottawa, is steps from Parliament Hill with lightrail transit transportation at the hotel’s front door for easy access too many points of interest including festival venues. The hotel features 171 extended-stay guest rooms under the Homewood Suites by Hilton banner and 175 units providing short-stay accommodations under the Hilton Garden Inn banner with a total of 4,500 square feet of conference space, a bar, restaurant, pool and fitness facility.
We are currently seeking a part-time Breakfast Attendant to join our team through our management partnership with Labortek Personnel Services https://labortek.com/

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Ensure restaurants are properly set and well-stocked for breakfast operations prior to opening
  • Be knowledgeable of daily hotel operations and special events/functions
  • Welcome guests & verify their information and breakfast plan
  • Explain breakfast options/procedures & seat accordingly
  • Interact with guests to ensure they are satisfied with their breakfast & hotel experiences
  • Ensure tables are cleared, bussed, and turned over in a timely fashion to always maintain clean and professional image of the hotel and minimize wait times for guests to be seated
  • Replenish self-serve beverage stations & remove dirty dishware
  • Collaborate with Kitchen Team to ensure efficiency of breakfast operations and guest satisfaction
  • Tidy & reset restaurant at the end of breakfast
  • Assist with opening and closing tasks
  • Complete cleaning duties
  • Complete other restaurant duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Self-starter and takes initiative
  • Excellent team player
  • Works well under pressure and able to multitask
  • Flexible schedule, able to work any days of the week, including weekends and holidays
  • One or more years of customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Ability to stand for long period of time up to 8 hours, & lift up to 50 lbs
