Description ABOUT US: GEO Next Generation High School is a part of a network of high-quality charter schools managed by the GEO Foundation. It joins GEO Prep Academy and GEO Prep Mid-City, delivering a high-quality K-12 learning experience to parents and students in the Baton Rouge community. GEO Next Generation High School is a tuition-free, public charter school that began with 9th grade and has added a grade each year over the subsequent years. REPORTS TO/TERM: Principal This is a part time position. (no more than 25 hours weekly) ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: A Bus Driver is required to perform the following duties: • Work with school leadership to coordinate bus routes • Follow all traffic and safety laws • Oversee bus maintenance • Keep bus clean and free from trash daily • Keep the bus fueled and ready for service • Report student disciplinary issues to school leadership • Follow school policy regarding student discipline • Provide on-site student supervision • Attend appropriate staff meetings and Professional Development opportunities as directed by the Principal • Follow the school’s policies and procedures. • Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Principal • Dress professionally Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or higher • Maintain at all times a valid CDL Louisiana driver’s license • Sincere desire to work in a diverse K-12 school environment and make a difference in the lives of our students and their families • Experience driving student bus • Excellent driving record • Be able to work a flexible schedule • Must complete State Police Background check
