Job Summary
We are looking for a Business Development Representative. This is a key position responsible for growth of the credit union through the recruitment of new Members specifically through the strategic creation and cultivation of relationships with the purpose of gaining access to many potential Members. Demonstrates a highly motivated, positive, outgoing, influential personality with a strong emphasis on sales and results to ensure the credit union maximizes sales opportunities with current and potential Members. This position must be able to achieve established monthly goals through grit and resolve and requires superior service skills and the ability to represent Interfaith FCU’s brand with
Members, potential Members, and the community at large.
This is a field-based position, centralized in our Montclair, CA location.
This position may require travel, including weekends and holiday’s

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and sells Interfaith FCU products and services, contributing to the achievement of credit union Membership and financial growth goals.
  • Cultivates relationships with key personnel at existing and new PPs to maintain

Interfaith FCU position as an exclusive credit union benefit to the organization’s employees and attendees; schedules and coordinates on-site visits with the organizations.

  • Uses strong interpersonal skills and influence to consistently achieve sales goals.
  • Maximizes opportunities to sell products and services to benefit Members and enhance quality and depth of Member relationships and profitability.
  • Utilizes sales and service skills by email, phone, and through in-person visits to respond to the needs of the organizations, Members, vendors, and internal members in a timely and professional manner.
  • Supports a consistent brand image for Interfaith FCU and represents the credit union at civic and community events.
  • Conducts and supports group presentations on financial literacy, with emphasis on credit union product and service solutions.
  • Builds relationships with churches and faith communities to assist with achieving established goals.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Interfaith FCU products and services.
  • Secures and delivers completed new account applications to the BD Coordinator within 24 hours of receiving paperwork.
  • Completes weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner.
  • Participates in and completes all ongoing required training.
  • Willingly adapts to changes in work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of business development, community engagement or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of business development, community engagement or related field.
  • Current AZ state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current state liability auto insurance.
  • Satisfactory current driving record with DMV.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to utilize SEG Manager software Excellent presentation skills, maintains a professional appearance.
  • Strong sales background with demonstrated proven results.
  • Effectively and respectfully communicate with all levels of authority, both internally and throughout our field of Membership.
  • Has in-depth knowledge of Interfaith FCU financial products, services and effectively creates and delivers oral presentations to small, mid, and large groups.
  • Works successfully, both independently through self-motivation and within a team environment.
  • Exhibits trustworthiness by keeping all credit union Member information safe and confidential and exercises confidentiality and discretionary judgment. Maintains working knowledge of all Interfaith FCU policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of the financial services market.
  • Time management skills, able to work flexible hours.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough and accurate record keeping skills.

This position may be asked to cover branch location due to credit union needs.
