Coffee World have been roasting in Cambridge since 1984 and in 2024 we decided to showcase just how great we think our coffee is by opening our very own cafe.
The position of Cafe Assistant in our cafe is an exciting role. It requires the successful applicant to be a hands-on, inspiring and creative individual with an eye for detail, a love of great customer service, with a commitment to delivering our vision. We are looking for someone with:

• Proven track records in hospitality, punctual, adaptable and a hard worker.
• A great team player and someone who can work alongside a brilliant barista team.
• Dedicated towards delivering on our company goals while maintaining our cultural standards
• Maintain operating standards with a high level of detail given to presentation
• Learn and adhere to our product, service and brand training playbooks
• Maintains health and safety and food hygiene standards at all times

The role of Cafe Assistant is available as a part time position with a standard work schedule being weekends, additional availability occasionally during the week or holidays would be beneficial but not necessary. The Espresso Bar will open between the hours of 8am and 4pm and you may be expected to work either side of these hours to open and close down the site. Alongside the cafe there will be occasional offsite events that every member of the team will be offered the chance to work at.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £7.55-£12.80 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 18 per week
