Title: Part-Time Campus Store Associate Job Status: Part-time, Non-exempt/hourly, year-round, 12-month  Pay Range: $18 to $21 per hour based on experience  Department: Advancement and Business Office Reports to: Campus Store Manager Campus Store Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., including occasional nights and weekends; work schedule may vary up to 20 hours per week This position offers the opportunity to work in a welcoming school environment while gaining hands-on retail and operational experience beyond traditional sales roles. The Campus Store Associate plays an important role in representing the school’s brand and supporting the campus community. Job Summary The Campus Store Associate supports the daily operations of the school’s campus store, delivering a high level of customer service while assisting with sales, inventory, and merchandising. This role is ideal for someone with prior retail experience who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a school community environment. This is a part-time position and plays a key role in ensuring a positive, welcoming experience for students, families, faculty, staff, and visitors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Customer Experience * Provide friendly, professional customer service aligned with the school’s brand and values. * Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and general inquiries. * Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor. Sales and Point of Sale * Operate point-of-sale systems accurately.  * Process transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges. * Handle cash and credit transactions responsibly. Inventory and Operations * Assist with receiving, tagging, stocking, and restocking merchandise. * Support inventory organization, backstock management, and replenishment. * Help maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies. * Assist with markdowns, seasonal resets, and basic merchandising updates. General Store Support * Support opening and/or closing procedures as scheduled. * Work independently during assigned shifts. * Collaborate with store leadership to support special events, peak periods, and promotions. Minimum Qualifications  * Prior retail or customer service experience required. * POS/Shopify experience preferred. * Inventory or stockroom experience a plus. * Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented. * Comfortable interacting with students, families, faculty, and staff. * Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light-to-moderate merchandise. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements * Ability to see and hear within normal parameters with or without correction. * Full range of head, neck, and back movement; unrestricted ability to bend knees, raise arms above the head, and to move hands, fingers, and wrists. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without difficulty. * Ability to sit for extended periods, and ability to stand and/or walk for sustained periods of time. * Must successfully pass fingerprinting, background checks, and TB clearance due to working in proximity to children.
